The Ogun State property and Investment Corporation has announced the commencement of construction at its Orange Valley Estate located opposite the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The project, according to the Special Adviser to the Governor/Managing Director, OPIC, Mr. Babajide Odusolu, is designed to be the first premium gated community in Ogun State and is in furtherance of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led administration’s focus on urban renewal and provision of housing solutions.

Odusolu explained that the Orange Valley was designed to create a scenic and serene green living environment for its residents and serve as suitable accommodation for the increasing number of senior executives resident in the state.“It is strategically located with considerable proximity to neighbouring cities, including Lagos and Ibadan.

The concept of Orange Valley is to increase the attractiveness of Ogun State, particularly Abeokuta, and other major cities as the preferred destinations to live and work in a secure and serene environment,” he said.Central services to be provided for the estate, according to the OPIC boss, include a clubhouse, medium-sized swimming pool and gymnasium for the use of the residents and their guests, 24-hour power supply, portable water supply, central sewage system and broadband Internet services.

On completion, Orange Valley would comprise 18 luxurious five-bedroom villas, each situated on 800-square metre plot with private offices and service chalets; 58 premium finished four-bedroom semi-detached duplexes and 24 serviced apartments.Odusolu said although the development on completion would compete favourably with similar estates in Lagos, while the pricing had been carefully worked out to make it attractive to potential buyers, who would get mortgage facilities from Sterling Bank Plc.
