Developer unveils Lagos Dream City Estate

A PRIVATE developer, Messrs Common Sense Estate Limited has decided to add to the nation’s housing stock with the introduction of a residential estate known as “Signature Estate”, located within the fast growing neighborhood in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

When completed, Signature Estate, also known as Dream City will provide affording homes of 100 housing units.  It will be a mixed development of both residential and commercial.

Occupying a 70 acres land, it comes in one, two and three bedroom bungalow in detached, semi-detached and terraced plan with the first phase now fully completed. 

Specifically located along Igborufu Road, Abule Imagbon, Ita Oluwo, off Ikorodu/Ishagamu Road, the estate is 11 kilometres from the Ikorodu roundabout to the Ita Oluwo junction and 7 kilometres from the junction to the estate. 

Facilities and features available include full perimeters fence, motor-able road network, power supply, with dedicated transformer, 24-hour water supply, quality and excellent finishing and adequate in-house parking.

Others are paved compound, 24-hour security and recreational facilities, peaceful neighbourhood and proposed free shuttle services, for residents that are not yet mobile.

Speaking on the project, Otunba Olumide Emmanuel, said the entire estate has outstanding features that would compel Nigerians to invest in it. Besides, he added that “Global Certificate of Occupancy” (C of O) and government’s approved layout the estate cover estate.

According to Balogun, one-bedroom bungalow is available in detached, semi-detached and terraces at N3 million only as minimum entry level. Also there are 2-bedroom bungalows available in detached, semi-detached and terraces at N4.5 million, while the 3-bedroom bungalow also available in detached, semi-detached and terraces, is pegged at N5.5 million 

On payment option, Emmanuel said that buyers have the opportunity to make outright payment with 10 per cent discount or payment of 30 percent down payment and the allotee would receive his/her allocation. “With second payment of another 20 percent, work would commence on the house and by the time the last payment of 20 percent is settled, the house would be completed and possession of the house.    However, this process must be within 12 months to be at the same price”, he said.

Alternative options are that individuals can access loan through mortgage or National Housing Funds (NHF), or payment plan by talking to their banks.
